The Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics at
the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania
seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the
Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one
(1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal is
based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding
(limited to three (3) years). We are seeking candidates with
research interests in disease- and outcome-focused epidemiology,
exposure-focused epidemiology, life stage-focused epidemiology,
health behavior, healthcare delivery & health equity, and/or the
design, evaluation, and application of research methods. Applicants
with interests in other research areas will also be considered.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
Responsibilities include research and training activities such as
participation in the department's educational programs, and
submission and collaboration on grant proposals.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop
independence in research through writing peer-reviewed publications
for journals and submitting applications for career development and
research grants.
